I've never worked for them. I have a couple of friends that drove team for them for a number of years. Slow-poke had knee surgery and had to quit driving. Cora didn't work for Ashley anymore, but had nothing bad to say about them. I also talked to a few of their other drivers and heard nothing bad about them.
Cora and Slow-poke are still up in WI, and retired now. I miss talking to them. I would tend to believe them that it's a good place to work.
Thanks for the info.....I pulled trailers for them when I worked for Stan Koch, but just from one place to another drop lot, they always seemed helpful and understanding, but the drivers there would never really talk about the job.....
If I remember right, some of the things that Cora and Slow-Poke had to say, Ashley has teams that take most of the runs out to the coasts and back, and solo generally run regional. I could be wrong on that, and things could well have changed since they worked there.
They ship trailers by rail (train) to other parts of the country from Arcadia.
Out 1 to 5.5 days per week depending where you work in the usa.
Some run doubles. Others run 28, 48 and 53 footers to store location.
Pay is miles plus drop but some locations pay per day.
Deliver in canada too.
sometimes if the job is good people dont really talk about it because the more drivers there are at that location the more people work and that is less for the other people.
Just let you all know, didn't get the job, but at least Ashley let me know with a post card!!!
Instead I'm going to work at a local Granite, Marble and Stone company, 50% local 50% regional, and only 4 days a week guaranteed 40 hours a week.....Works for me
