True. No one has to work a certain job in our system in the US. But keeping the welfare system so that we can buy votes make no one well off. Look at Venezuela. We are also now seeing all the problems in Germany and London with the large amount of unvetted poor with different values coming into those countries. I sure don't want to live in these circumstances. Contrary to others opinions, not everyone
Values life and does not have the same moral values that we do. As an American, I value feeling safe in my community and have options for work. In Germany,any of those options are given to you while in high school according to your grades. For example college might be free, but not for everyone who wants it. Only those who " qualify". You can bet the 1% will always qualify too.
So options may be limited and not depend on when you might want it either. In fact, you may not have choices at all...
