I am currently enrolled in a state certified school in illinois to get my class a cdl. I have 1 speeding ticket for 15mph over the limit, and a misdemeanor for theft under 300. Both of which happened last year. i know that i made a mistake, so please don't post any bs. unless you know the circumstance, don't judge. i am just looking for advice if this is something that i should pursue, or find something else. if i have a shot at all, what company then? thanks for taking the time to read my post.
Both of which happened last year. What counsel did the school "(state certified school in Illinois" - doesn't mean a thing) provide as far as the recent tickets and misdemeanor and the effects they would have on your employability. News flash - commercial schools don't care as long as they have paying butts in seats. Your gripe is with the school, not potential employers. I'm guessing the theft will keep you from being bonded (insured). Freight insurers don't like to pay for stolen freight. BOL
actually absolutly no one will hire you with a 15+ ticket. maybe you should look into something else...you might no be smart enough, uhm..sorry, safe enough to be a truck driver.
If I were you, I would find out if you can get your money back from the driving school. The record you have , you are basically unemployable in the trucking industry.
