Several dealers have confirmed that Rigmaster has shut down all US and Canadian operations as of 1/22/09. I called their headquarters, and they would neither confirm or deny it. Good riddance.
They have an answering service taking calls, and their technical support service goes straight to voice mail.
Tom, their product was always extremely unreliable. Engines would seize up after only a few hundred hours on them, they would overheat, they would throw belts. They were extremely loud, and their A/C system was underpowered. In fact, the only person I ever saw that supported them was Steve Booth, and I think the only reason he did was because he didn't want to admit that he was suckered. Even he ended up making major changes to his system.
Most of what I've heard about the Rigmaster was from their own advertisements, which are hardly impartial. The only real experience I've had with APUs was with Tripacs, which always worked well for me....
Tripacs are a decent system. I almost bought one of those when I first started researching APU's. And since they are backed by Thermo King, you know they aren't going anywhere. Just like the Carrier systems.

I guess they finally realized that they couldn't compete with you in the Apu business.
