My husband spent the day preparing his truck for going OTR. We have no idea if he'll be sent out, but we're optimistic people who like to be prepared for everything. He pulled the refrigerator out of the attic and installed it in the truck today.
We're trying to prepare for the long term and we're wondering about the different ways to heat food. I notice that some people say crock pots. I know there are microwaves available too, but not everything heats up nicely in a microwave. My job isn't secure since it's directly related to financial investments.
Our long-term plan is I will freeze meals as I cook them while he's gone throughout the week. That way, he'll be eating healthy full course meals while he's on the road. All we need to do is figure out how he can heat them up easily. We're camping people so we have the propane grills, etc., but those aren't very convenient to use just anywhere.
Any ideas? Or is a crockpot the only thing available?
