Got my accident report today and it is filled out wrong by the AL State Trooper. It states the following:
Vehicle 1 (Other Person) was making a left turn onto AL 33. Vehicle 2 (Me was traveling northbound on AL 33. Vehicle 1 failed to yield right of way to vehicle 2 and they collided at the area of impact. Driver 1 stated, " I never saw him and when I pulled out we hit". Driver 2 stated, "He just pulled out in front of me and I could not miss him'.
When in fact I was traveling northbound and the other person was traveling southbound on a two lane road and he turned to his left in front of me.
He also listed the wrong telephone number for me.
What should I do to get this corrected, and what advice would you have for me?
Thanks
duh, I guess I would contact the law enforcement agency that issued the report. They can (but not necessarily will) issue a supplementary report.
From what you wrote though, other than the phone number I don't see any discrepancy. Both what you and the report says you were northbound on 33, both you and the report say the other driver turned in front of you, and if the other vehicle was not on 33, and turned in front of you and you were on 33, he turned "onto" 33 in front of you.

It reads like the report is in your favor all the way, or did I miss something.
The way it is written up is that they have me going in the right direction, but he has the other vehicle is on my right at a stop sign and pulls out in front of me turning left.
When in fact I was meeting the other vehicle and he turned in front of me. What is really strange is that the State Trooper was parked right beside the wrecked vehicle when he wrote the report up.
He has the other vehicle to my left, when in fact it was to my right after the wreck. Really strange??????

You could contact the trooper as was suggested, but the basic facts are correct and in your favor. The main thing is that they other buy admitted fault to the investigating officer and did not mention any fault on your part.
Like they been telling you PaPa R...let that dog alone!! The report puts you in a very good position. IF you want the report to reflect your proper phone number, you can get that fixed...but leave the report itself alone.
