Yesterday I was driving down Texas FM 83 South of Shamrock when I topped a hill and noted a DOT vehicle on the side with the officer standing in the middle of the road waving me over. Pulled over and parked right behind his truck. He informed me that I was going to get a level 1 inspection, I gave him my license, and showed him my log book. He walked to the rear and just as he was about to check my lights I heard a LOUD jake brake of a truck topping the hill. The officer literally RAN to the cab, handed me my license back and said "you can go." As he RAN to his truck I could see a "93" flashing on the radar on the dash.
Works for me, SUCKS to be the other driver!!
This morning I was doing a pre-trip (had a little time while loading) and found the end of one of my slack adjusters broken off. Glad that other truck saved me from an "out of service!"
