the one on bouldercrest............WHAT A MESS!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you have been there you know what im talking about, they shut down the TA on exit 53 so everyone goes to the pilot, if your not in that place by noon you can forget a parking spot. And if your stopping for fuel, at 1130 this morning i was on the get off ramp on 285 waiting to get into the pilot(yes line was actually that long)! stay away from this place, there is at least 10 people walking up and down the lot trying to sell anything from porn to watches....this place is crazy!!!!...... Im not even gonna mention what this swift driver did.............UN F'N BELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When did thay close the TA - it had to have been in the last 4 months.
the petro on X 12 on 285 was only a little better than the TA at 53, I will bet it won't be too long before all the dope heads from the TA wind up at the Petro
TA bought petro earlier this year is probably one reason for closing that drug pit at the 53.
Boy I tell you what, that was one scary a$$ place. If I remember ATL pd had a office in there back by the phones.
While getting a tire fixed, I recall seeing a lizard check out of the motel and then walk directly into the "tent town" in bushes in front of the TA.
Once I saw Crete driver sitting handcuffed on the ground in front of his rig with two lizards and a junkie beside him. Apperently, the driver thought smoking crack in his bunk with the aformentioned
Clowns. This was per the drug taskforce agent I was speaking to as I made my way the hell out of their.
Oh the stories, it just happened my former outfit thought that the TA was the only place to fuel in ATL.
I was never cursed with truckstops in Atlanta. I always just stopped at the terminals there.. no hassles and the only dregs there were the other drivers! LOL. Some of them you would swear were homeless..

The only truckstop I've stayed at in ATL was the Petro, and that was probably 3-4 years ago - stayed 1 night. Never had any problems there, other than the guy taking a leak by his truck in front of me - not more than 50 feet from the t/s door (he was parked on the end of the row right beside the building).
When I go anywhere near ATL I always try to schedule myself so I don't even have to consider staying anywhere near that craphole.
