Well Lewis friend,
Exactly how many miles? Depends man, there is no "exact" amount or a minimum for that matter. He has run weeks at 2500-3000, and the last couple of weeks he runs from New England to Martinsburg WV, and back. Gets alot of Proctor and Gamble loads from Stamford Ct. going out to Iowa. He has been waiting for reloads anywhere from 2-4 hours sometimes. What happens is New Century LTL in NJ sends New Century TL in WV loads that they have assigned to TL drivers. TL drivers deal with WV dispatch like a middle man. Its f'd up sometimes. WV dispatch arrives around 8am monday morning. So if you are not under load over the weekend your waiting for a pickup come Monday. You cant call NJ dispatch either, a big no-no. TL drivers get treated "differently" at NJ Terminal. Equipment is top notch though. T600's w/APU, Super Singles,
