any info on cypress trucking
-
I am new to this trucking thing, wanted to do it all my life and now after 40 + years dreaming about it I'm doing it. Got my CDL already and am currently 1/2 way through the training phase. Just wandering if anyone has comments good or bad on cypress truck lines based in jacksonivlle fl but has terminals thoughout the southeast. They seem to be ok so far except there trucks are very old some are million miles or better. I hope to get into there 250 turn around and home every night. Also 250 miles out thats 500 a day what kind of a day am I looking at and how many hours aday roughly.

Cypress
Do an archives search here using "cypress". You'll find info. You can do better. Excuse me, you can do way better. BOL

all i know is they've got some crappy old trucks, which means that you will a spend a lot of your time on the side of the road.

Where are you training at Topper? I myself live in Jacksonville, and from what I've seen can agree with the other replies. If you're set on pulling flatbed and being home a lot, why not check out Coastal Transport (division of COMCAR)? They too have a yard in town.

thanks for all the input. I am training here in jacksonville. I checked out other local company's that get you home nightly, including CTL and CCC put to tell you the truth they just dont pay well and there training pay is bad, worse then cypress. I am not dead set on flat beds it just worked out that way. I know I need to get atleast a year behind me before the better companys will even talk to me so as for now thats my goal.
