I know that not a lot of drivers hit this area but everyone is going crazy so I don't think anyone is safe on the roads around here right now!
  I feel bad for you.....Ya know that....But ........
They are calling for 8 foot of water here where my house sits..before IKE hits land. They just called the house phone and left a flood advisory. Port Arthur is expected to see first "over-topping" of the flood-wall by noon tomorrow. That wall is 16 foot tall! Elevation here at the house is 24 feet...but only 1/2 mile from Adams Bayou....2 miles from Cow Bayou and the Sabine River, 4 miles from Sabine Lake...sigh.......I prayed and prayed that Mexico was gonna get Ike'ed! :? :? :?
So many people left to run outta Houston area...east is the better "run away" choice than west is.
I will know Saturday evening how bad it is.
