Hey guys. With Roehl's 7 on/7off, I understand that you slip seat with another driver. Here's my question. Does the truck have to be dropped at at a terminal for the other driver to pick up? I'll be living Huntsville, AL and the nearest terminal to me is just outside ATL, Georgia which is 4 hours away. Not quite worth the drive! Thanks.
i work for roehl and it depends on if there is a driver in your area (maybe one or two hours) that drives 7/7 then you can met at a location that is close for the both of you. yes you slip seat with a driver but you clean the truck before you leave it. just give roehl a call and ask if there is a driver in huntsville or within so many mile your willing to travel to get the truck. any more questions just pm
Thanks!! I'll give them a call.
How can a driver make ends meet only working a week, then taking a week off? For me, too much home time and not enough money is a miserable time better spent on the road.
I spend 6 weeks out with a week at home. Bills are paid and a few bucks in the bank keep momma happy and off my tail.
There's just no way that more hometime means more money. Just no way.
He didn't say that more hometime meant more money. In many cases, 6 weeks out would be the end of a marriage, rather than keeping it happy.
I see the 7 on 7 off as more of a retirement thing. You still want to work, but you don't want to do it all the time.
Either that or they have a 2nd job during their off-weeks.
Or perhaps enough money in the bank that say $25,000/year is enough to get by on.
I made over 30k on the 7on/7off when I was running it , not huge money but enough for me at the time . Not to mention I had a social life and could plan out what I wanted to do months in advance .
If I had 14 days off a month, I would spend way more than 30 grand a year.
