what state (or states) is notorious for DOT "conventions" on the side of the highway...and on what highway?
where is the largest one you have ever seen
and how long did it tie u up on the road??
TN, I40, didnt tie us up we got waved through. But there were like 40 rookie DOT there.

Utah had floodlights out at 2am during the 72hour inspection. I thought they'd be closed, but good thing I made it through with no hassle.
SC had cops EVERYWHERE during the 72 hr blitz with roadside prtables everywhere too.
I80 across PA. Last summer they had trucks backed up in the granny lane for a couple miles.

california i remembered as having more bs in every aspect of life than anywhere.routinely got in the inspection bay for a fresh cvsa decal. i saw one inspection bay in the bay area that had flourescent lights flush mounted in the floor.
ive been in washington and oregon 9 years but it sounds like cali has put on a myriad of regulations since i last hauled freight down there.
