CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF KNIGHT IS A GOOD COMPANY?
I worked for them at one time and for the most part was treated well. I made good money, was kept moving while I was out, and got home 99% of the time when I was suppose to.
The equipment is pretty decent. Most tractors in van fleet are or soon will be 660/670 Volvo's. There are still some Century Class running around and a few Pete's. Most Pete's are in the reefer division.
Do a search on Knight here on CAD. It has been discussed at length. Feel free to ask any questions you may have either here or shoot me a private msg and I will answer what I can.
If I remember correctly, you need 6 months OTR to apply with them. Otherwise, I've heard nothing but good about them.
8) Knight just opened up there terminal here in Reno, NV and they have more trucks than drivers. The office manager I talked to a few weeks ago said there requirements have been dropped to only 4 months current otr and if you don??t have that they will except one year of driving local or otr with in the last 3yr if it can be verified??
DC.
From what I understand, Knight was started by somebody who worked with Swift years ago. Looks like they really take care of their equipment. I've yet to see a Knight truck that looked like it was run through the wringer, lol.
In Reno they have had a "Work for Us" ad up on the billboard in front of the Petro for about 6 months.
They have ads constantly in the LA area. They have a 4/4 plan too that they're promoting.
