Had a situation/incident in the truck yesterday

some streets in philly are perfect for trucks others arent. phillys a dump for the most part. ur not the first to hit a railing or a pole or a car and u wont be the last. brush it off.

Sounds like you got lucky they didn't file reports and/or citations! I hate it when you have to go to places like that and no one even speaks frigging English to help you out. And I have the right to say it! I'm a foreigner myself and moved here in 2001, I think if you want to live and work here, learn the language so you can manage. I mean I had to so I think I can expect it from others to? :?
Especially like you said, you were in a bad spot, what to do with a big rig? You can't just turn anywhere. I'm glad you got off the way you did!

Wow- when you said Philadelphia I thought I knew where that was going. You're lucky they didn't throw the book at you! I know of truckers who've been lost or following shipper/company directions and wound up on a street they're not supposed to be on- a cop pulls them over and they have a CRAZY huge ticket.

It was somewhere in North Philadelphia that a trucker got a $14.000 ticket for being on a restricted street... And, he was a local driver. And, NO, I do NOT want to find out just where he got it...
