Information to support per diem...
Maybe I've missed something here, but the Infernal Revenue Service sent me a letter asking me to support my claim of per diem (line 40 on form 1040). They told me to fill out Schedule A and send in information that supports it. Would this be the printouts from my paperless logs from last year?

These people hate it when you produce records. You should send them triplicates of everything and let them sort it out. It will give them something to do.

Yeah, you have to send them copies of your logbooks for that year to show when you spent the night away from home.

I have all my log info in PDF form on my computer at home. If IRS wants the info, I would just send them a CD with PDF's on it. Have fun.
