Transferring license to TX, FL...retake test?

Was wondering if anyone is familiar with transferring a license to the state of TX or the state of FL. Is it necessary to retake all the written tests?

I just happened to know that AZ is a quick swap. No retesting and all the endorsements swap without retesting.

TX and FL do not have a state tax so I was considering this. Mainly TX, since there's much more freight.

This is what I found. I don't think you have to re-take your tests. I would assume the CDL would fall under this.

When I moved down here 5 years ago (2005), I presented proof of insurance, my current DOT medical card, my valid WA state CDL, took the HazMat test, gave them my thumb print, my local address, paid the fees, and walked out the door until 2011.

I guess the times are changing. Now they have tall tales about freight in Texas. :p

well, they say ewverything is bigger down there. Guess the tall tales wanted to be included.
