Accident ...HELP?!?!?!?
OK I have a ?. say a driver on home time gets into a accident in his mothers car. small fender bender. no police involved. what are the ramifications as far as the MVR if it is claimed on insurance? It will be reported right? If we take care of it on our own w/o insurance there will not be a record. is this correct? any response will be appreciated, but preferably one with some sort of useful information would be preferred...lol :P

Accident
I'm guessing you'd want your mother to take the fall when dealing with the insurer and body shop. That's a real stand-up way to treat your mother. BOL

No police report, no insurance claim= no record.
As far as the MVR goes, unless you live in a state that records all accidents on a person's MVR there would not be anything showing up even with a filed police report unless you were convicted of something. Here is the catch. If this involves another person there is nothing stopping them from filing their own insurance claim, and since you obviously did not get a police report there is also nothing stopping them from filing a hit and run report and then it would be your word against theirs in court. |

no cops called no police reports filed ...no tickets issued...NOTHING TO TELL EMPLOYER. now the other person can file hit/run ,but they would need to prove you guilty in court ,and unless you help them convict you ...it's just a wasted day in court for the prosecution/plantif... |
