team driving hours

from reading post on this site ure reg are as complicated as euro reg here we can drive 9hrs increasing to 10 twice weekly which has to payed back the falling week we can work 15hrs 3 times a week but our avrage over 26 week period must be 60 hrs.............right so in us from what I can gather is if u are part off a team u can drive 11hrs and ure partner can drive 11hrs so the truck can run 22hrs a day on an 8 day cycle is this right or is my head up my ass because if it is yeha iam going to come there with friend and run my ballocks off lol

Team drivers are not treated any differently than solo drivers:

1. 11 hours driving with each 10 hours off-duty
2. No more than 14 consecutive hours on-duty with each 10 consecutive hours off-duty
3. If a carrier only operates 6 days a week = 60 hours in 7 consecutive days
4. If a carrier operates 7 days a week = 70 hours in 8 consecutive days

The 60/70 hour clock can be reset with 34 hours off-duty

For passenger carriers:

1. 10 hours driving with each 8 hours off-duty
2. No more than 15 hours on-duty (non-consecutive) with each 8 hours off-duty
See 3 & 4

No 34 hour reset.

That's the basics, there are some other rules for 100 air mile radius drivers and drivers who operate non-CDL vehicles within a 150 air mile radius.

Be safe.

Where did you get that from mate? As I understand European driving regulations, any increase in driving hours i.e your permitted 10 hour drives, must be paid back in full by the end of the third week?
And also, your average working week must be 48 hours over a 17 week period or 816 hours? I may be wrong, but thats how I understood the law

yes but if u pay back at the end off week 2 u can sart over again and it depends on ure firm if they work 17 week or 26 week I work for norbert dentressangle and we work a 26 week

Flying Scotsman 12-03-2006 09:24 AM

Sounds easy peasy that does...why do you wanna leave mate? Is the money pish?

bullhauler 12-03-2006 11:24 AM

If you run long haul over here, you can expect to run anywhere, from
19000kms and up per month, most companies guaranty 19000kms a month
allot of the good drivers are making around $60000 a year

WildK9 12-03-2006 11:34 AM

between Flying Scotsman and Wot, ya'lls regs sound VERY confusing. what, with all that paying back hours in full by the end of the 3rd week and stuff about the 17th and 26th week!?! :? :? :?
