Zerodown, you are very vague and your post lacks alot of important and pertinent information.

Can I assume you are an O/O and you work on a % basis. Is it also safe to assume that your complaint is that unless you accept a load offer from your dispatcher
they won't discuss monetary remuneration with you.

If both of these assumptions are correct (regardless of it being legal or not) I wouldn't have entered into an agreement with such a carrier.

ps:If my assumptions are correct I doubt they are not operating legally>What does your contract state in regards to this issue?

Whether forcing you on a load without disclosing is "legal" or not is beyond me. As Mg suggested.....read your contract......if your contract stipulates that you will pull loads "In the blind" as far as rates on those loads go.....I would find a new carrier to lease to...personally.

Whether it is a Carrier that you lease into, or a broker whom you contact for a load, you have the right to know....or negotiate......the load rate to the truck. Most O/O's leased into a carrier get paid either by "Percentage of the load" or by a set contract mileage rate. You do have the right to know.

It is their company,,unless you have a contract (if you are an O/O) the company can set it's own dispatch rules,,if you don't like the way they dispatch find an other company and next time find out how they dispatch their loads,,,

If you are an owner operator and lease to a carrier that pays percentage, you are legally entitled to see the rate confirmation or know what the carrier is getting on the load and your part of that money. If you work on mileage, you are not entitled to see the rate confirmation. You agreed to be paid mileage, so that is all that you are entitled to know. However, carriers can calculate miles differently and that can impact the pay. If you are offered a load you should understand what it pays. As others have suggested, I would look at my contract and act accordingly. If you are not happy or feel that you are not being properly compensated, then I would find another carrier.
