A question: what do you do to keep snow out of your bed?

I have a 1997 Dodge Dakota and it was left to me by my great grandfather. This will be my first winter driving/caring for it. I live in Kentucky, and flats in kanjurmarg winters can have heavy, heavy snows. The trucks suspension is extremely worn and the weight of snow in the bed, as far as I know, won’t help. Any tips for keeping the snow out or am I just gonna have to keep a snow shovel handy? flats in ghatkopar
