Scales unions around US

Not going to write how I lurked this forum for a while. Straight to the point. I'm hearing here and there that some scales work together. I think NM and AZ. Any other info ?

maybe each state's scale actually find things wrong with your truck..??

that's what this is all about, isn't it..you had a ticket for something at one state, and was given another in another state's scale..??

the only "collusion" i can see, is the scale workers are actually doing thier job, and caught you.....

Well no, however I find your conclusion logical, considering the reason why one would ask such question. I was actually curious cuz I'm hearing things but can't find any hard proof.

the thing is truckers like to talk a whole lotta BS.....

i say that unless it happens to you, take what you hear, with a grain of salt.

sometimes too, a trucker will start some sort of story, and another one will get into it as well to egg on a person.

one other way to sift thru the BS, is to change the way you ask questions.

maybe instead of saying "you heard about this and that, at the scales" just instead ask, "what's been happening at the scales".....then too, sift thru the rhetoric....

if you are new to the industry, you will hear way too many stories...very little truth........

Friend of mine was stopped in Michigan for a inspection and they called the scale in Arizona to check what time he went through the scale 2 days prior and match it to his logbook. Iowa just added cameras to the on ramp at their scales to record your date and time you were there..

I would guess alot of states are working together.

Not quite fresh but I'm sure some other skillful truckers will say I'm green with a milk on my lips. I been OTR for 4 years now, seen a lot, heard a lot. Before mostly driving Midwest and cali. Now all 48. As about scales I know for fact that WA and OR have combined system, as well as AR and NM. I also heard a lot about north west states as well as lots of east coast are now switching to combined system as they are small in size to keep track. Usually they would mark you by your DOT # and truck #. Also, last year or before all major companies let their drivers know thet they should match the time driven thro scales with their log book... since then I keept googling it but didn't really dug up anything.
