Box Truck and Load Boards
 

I have some questions about using load boards with a 26 ft box truck. I have been delivering in company box trucks and my own cargo van's since the 90's. I work for a delivery service and never used load boards. I have been considering getting my own 26 ft box truck and branching out on my own. Is it possible for someone to get a 26 ft box truck and work strictly of load boards? What are some of the obstacle's I would face? If I was to knock on doors and get my own accounts what do you do if your out of town and they need freight moved? Do you just set it up with the account that your a one man show and can only haul if your around? Any input would be great.
