What to expect at receiver when you have a reefer breakdown?

Hi, I was hauling cabbage in a 53 feet reefer. I picked up cabbage on Thursday and will be delivering Monday morning. The set temperature was 34 degrees on a continuous mode. They also put a temp recorder. I had a reefer breakdown and it took dealer 9 hours to complete repairs. Meanwhile temp inside the box rose to 57 degrees. What to expect when I will be delivering cabbage on Monday? Will it be rejected?

Depends on what it was for. If it was going for slaw it was a lesser grade to begin with. Any problems when delivering don't leave untill inspected by USDA.

Throw out the temp recorder and play dumb.

dont do that, you should of informed broker, only 9hr and upto 57deg it should be fine, they will ck it. the 57deg is the air temp in the trl not the produce tepm.

I'm glad it worked out for you. If they had rejected the load, what then?
