hazmat

whats the process for getting a hazmat? i hear the test is not hard but the process could be grueling.

nothing to it. go to an approved place, get your fingerprints taken, wait about 3 to 4 weeks for your approval letter, read the hazmat book from the dmv office and pass the test. bingo, you're done. dont bother with on line tests or study guides that you pay for EVERYTHING you need to know is in the book that you get at your local dmv, read it again just before you go to take the test and you will pass

that reminds of a couple of weeks ago, I was unloading sulfuric acid, the road was chained off with big red chains that had signs extreme danger signs hanging on them. I was standing behind the truck wearing a rubber suit, and this guy walks up to the chain and calls me over and says, it is safe to walk through?, I couldnt think of a good answer, so I just shook my head and walked away

The extinguisher would be determined by what you are hauling, (it's in the book) the only other special thing you need is an emergency response guide book. a spill kit is not required, but is a damn good idea, it could save you a ton of money..
