Fsc
Just wondering how all you guys are doing getting your fsc from customers? I've seen on a few other sites that brokers are saying more and more that they don't have any fsc on loads?
Our fsc is at .54 last week, and if the brokers are picketing this, then I can't see why I shouldn't become one too LOL |

I see FSC increasing, at least here at Landstar. It used to be around 35 c per mile. The trip I'll be doing tomorrow from Ontario to California pays $0.50 per mile ;)

That's good to hear. Most brokers I dealt with at LS told me that the FSC was already figured into the rate...which was always dirt cheap (on the load board) I then got in with a agent that put me on a fed-Ex dedicated run and then everything was gravy...

Fsc
I do a lot of broker loads in between my head haul and there seems to be a good increase in rates, a load I was doing in Jan. for $1700 went to $1800 in Feb. and $1950 in March. Last week I got a return load from Jackson,Tn to Anderson,SC for $1257 it came out to $2.76 PM door to door. Thats on a dry van. I can't speak for others but it seems to me that the rates are increasing more than the fuel is, for dry van freight anyway, I still call on loads that are a joke but they to eventualy will have to go up if they want to move their load. These rate increases are not due to FSC and I'm sure they wouldn't pay a penny more if they didn't have to, I guess supply and demand is the cause for the increase. It would be nice if fuel went down and the rates stayed up. It can't hurt do day dream a little.

My fleet owner tells me that Roadlink is cutting into his FSC pretty deeply. We're moving on in a week or two.

Depends on a customer, $0.50-$0.55. Not bad for 7 MPG, but sucks for 5MPG. Yet not too many folks slowed down. I guess they have an oil company stakes....

I'm a co. driver so know nothing about FSC but I have noticed I pass a lot more O/Os lately. The other night I had a O/O garbage hauler blow by me followed by a second trk a minute later. Trk #2 pulled in close and my radar picked him doing 78MPH (in a 65) I flipped on the cb and heard them bitchen bout the cost of fuel and having to run faster to fit in an xtra run to pay for it!
