They have good prices on straps, binders, tarps.. stuff like that. I remember buying 4" straps from them for $9.99! They are close to the TA and Flying J truck stops at Exit 15 off I-94.

Craigslist and eBay are good places to look for that stuff. Bought my securement equipment on ebay, ironically it was from an O/O who had been leased to Malone, so my stuff is the same stuff sold by Malone.

Thanks Red Clay Rambler, that is a GREAT idea!

I've gotten some deals from Truck n Tow. I got the straps Tracer was talking about for $9 with free shipping. After your first order they send you coupons for specials they are having. Like most stores some things are cheaper and some are not.

Many times I've found items on sale at dealers too. They have monthly specials. Example: group 31 batteries at Peterbilt for $71.50. Straps at Freightliner for $9. International was giving away free leather gloves just for signing up for their newsletter.

Thanks Bigmom, will check them out!

You might check with Truckpro. I have bought straps from them for about $10. They also sell chains, binders, etc.,

Another place you may want to check is Walter A Wood, in Chattanooga. They are on Rossville Blvd. I don't know if they sell tarps, but can make up chains in any length you want. It would be worth a call to check to see what they might charge, especially when you live so close.

If you do go with CRST Malone, you may check with them to see if they have used. I bought a 3 set of tarps from them once for $150. They were almost new. The previous guy apparently didn't pay for them or left the company leaving the tarps behind. I don't remember off hand. Their safety guy used to handle this sort of thing. Sometimes they have a complete used kit for much less than new. You could find a lumber yard for your wood and either have them bevel them on one side or do it yourself. Make sure you get oak. You need a good hardwood.

If you ever get out to the truck stops in Ontario Ca.They have some real "hot" deals on load securement equipment.Just tell them what you need and they will deliver it to your truck.Cash only and no receipts.Never purchased any of it,but saw alot of equipment that had been stolen off trucks out there.
