What is best to get old IFTA Stickers off with?
My Truck has them from 2006 and on, and wanted to put the new one on the chrome piece without it looking all gawky, so what or how is the best way to get the old ones off, take a razor blade or?

I bought a small stainless plate that I put on each side of the truck. When it comes time to take the old sticker off, I just use a razor-blade and scrape it off. This way you wont ruin the paint.... just some FYI for the NEW ONE you are going to put on ;)
http://www.iowa80.com/DirectionsWEB/...el+4%22+x+5%22 As for the one on your paint now, I have no idea. I peeled back the old one I had on there and stuck the new plate over it. I know GOOP doesn't work, and the govt made sure to make it a PITA to take off. I managed to get most it off with a heat gun and a PLASTIC razor blade |
heat gun or propane torch for the sticker and some carb cleaner or varsol to get the glue off

Starter fluid (ether) works good to remove the glue also.

Razor blade and Ronsonol lighter fluid (for Zippo lighters) works well. NAPA used to sell a decal remover (spray form) ....it worked well.....but would also remove paint if left on too long.

HAHA carb cleaner polish up that weathered old Imron too!

A little bit of heat from a hair dryer works well, and keep the surface warm when putting on the new ones so that they stick..... FOREVER!!!

I use a razor blade in one of those window scrapers. You need to be very careful to keep from scratching the paint. It is much easier when the temperature is warmer. You can buy an electric decal remover from Harbor Freight or other sources. It has a scraper and with the heat is supposed to make it easier to remove decals. I don't think that they are very expensive. I have also used alcohol to get rid of some of the glue residue.

You can also use a Pilot fuel card as a scraper.
I like to use the Pilot card also, for cleaning the drain channel on the tail of my reefer. :block: |
Put some heat on them and off they came with ease. Thanks Everyone!
