Toilets/showers in sleepers?
I've noticed for a long time that large truck manufacturers offer standard size sleepers up to 86". Was just wondering if they'll ever offer larger sleepers to include a toilet/shower? I know that custom-built sleepers always include them but what about the standard sleepers from Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, etc?

Space and weight are the big culprits. I don't think we will see them putting toilets and showers in them any time soon. Cost is another factor. There are portable showers you can purchase for the truck that collapse. You can get a port-a-potty for less than $100. I don't remember how much the portable showers cost. I believe they are around $100-200. Weight is another consideration when it comes to adding showers and toilets. An 86" sleeper already adds weight. Add 100 gallons of water and you may add another 500-800 pounds just for the water, not counting the shower or toilet weight. Still, it would be a nice feature if they could make it work. I do think that the weight would be a detriment for most owners.

At home, we use gallon bottles of Hawaiian Punch Light.
http://www.buythecase.net/uploads/pr...1480064654.jpg They make great pee bottles on the road at night! I add some orange scented RV tank deodorizer before use. One night (this is no lie!), I started with a completely empty bottle, and by morning, it was 3/4 full!!! |

I don't have any problem finding a bathroom or a plot of grass when I need one. Are guys peeing while driving or something? |

Even if it's extra weight, do it for mankind. :)

No it is not, and no, I don't. I pee often at night (sometimes 5 or 6 times or more). I sleep w/o any clothing whatsoever.

that's nothing compared to be in a fox hole for days.... I don't see the problem someone peeing in a bottle! I am in the military and i have used the bathroom in worst situations. Better yet try to piss in a humvee while on a mission!! You think someone is going to pull over not!!! Bottom line is use sanitizer after you use pee!!! Every trucker should have some hand sanitizer available. just my .02

If fleet trucks had showers/toilets I would pity the poor soul that would have to clean up after some nasty drivers. Probably be a lot more truck fires.
