Whats up with the new DOT physical card
 

When I got my new card this year the doctor gave me an 8 1/2" by 11" piece of white paper instead of the small card I have from 2 years ago. Has anyone else gotten a new DOT physical card like this?

Yes, I was given a piece of paper instead of a card at my last DOT physical. I asked the doc if she had any cards instead, and she found a few and did indeed give me a card. However she told me that the cards were being phased out, at least in her office.

It just seems funny to me that with all the medical stuff coming at us,....these cards would be easy to alter.

I'm with you, that's why I asked for a card. Not sure how the authorities would view this.

I was told by DMV that some time this year you're gonna have to carry the long form in your truck. Those small cards are easy to make to make.

That makes more sense, I guess if DOT is looking at a driver that is clearly a wreck,...and has a 2 year card they would look closer.

I got a new one 3 months ago and it was a card.
