My last manual tarp load :)
I'm returning to Canada with a load that I had to cover with 2 steel tarps. This is the last time I did this as on January 4th I'm dropping my stepdeck at a Conestoga dealer who'll install a rolling tarp system. Dispatch isn't too happy as they say I'll lose some loads but said they'll work with me. Anyone wants 5 month old tarps with a couple of holes - see my ad in the For Sale by Owner section.

I posted a message on your blog a while back. I have a set of almost brand new Michelin X-one singles I'm selling. The would help offset the additional weight from the rolling tarp. Shoot me an e-mail if you are interested. [email protected] Enjoy your trip to FL. Thanks!! -scott |
Tracer are you billing it through in 2009? I'd get get it in for this years taxes if possible. Thats assuming your year end is Dec 31. I see my neighbour is with MacKinnon with a step with a slider also.

You probably just add the cost of the tarping system to the value of the trailer, so it is the same, 30% per year.

Scott, I don't have the rims for them. It'd be too expensive for me to upgrade to a single tire setup.
Thanks! -scott |
You could put it through as a cost of doing business. Same as repairing your truck or repairing you side kit (if you had one) Everyone is different but I'd probably keep it separate from the rest of the trailer and write off the monthly payments until it's payed for.

Hey, I should have been more clear. I have tires and aluminum wheels that were on my flatbed.
Thanks! -scott |
