Is there a grace period on IFTA stickers?
I just looked yesterday and realized I didn't get my 2009s. I did get a 2009 IFTA paper faxed to me. Checking trucks at the Iowa 80, there may be 10 or 20 percent of trucks which still don't have the '09s.
What do you think? How long before some DOT officer is going to want to extract some money from me? TIA |
IMHO, the end of the month. I don't have mine on the truck yet either. But I will by the end of next week.

I think its 2-15-09, I have mine been too cold to put them on, 18 degrees now with 5" to 10" of snow on the way
|
oo good, thank you. Got WY and Cali coming up, two states that give you way too much attention, IMHO.
|
Manic, I believe you are right, Feb. 15th. I received mine in the mail back in the middle of Dec..
I guess I should put them on. Rev, when are you going to do another food vid  |
I have to rework the exhaust system on my generator (again). Until then, it is out of commission.

Yeah, I have a Honda generator. Other than the issues I've had routing the exhaust, I love it. The only inverter I have in the truck right now is a little 400 watt for powering my laptop. This spring, I'd like to put a 1500 watt inverter in. The Honda is 2500 watts.

I have a smart battery charger hardwired to my batteries. Whenever the generator is running, it's delivering 20 amps to the batteries.
The system does have limitations. I have to get out to start and stop it, I have to refill the gas tank, and since the oil capacity on it is so small, I have to add oil quite often (usually once a day if I'm running it for 12 hours or more). But for the $2500 invested in it, it's worth it. |
