I prefer steel trailers for a number of reasons. However, if I mostly ran in the snow and salt I would probably consider aluminum. Although aluminum doesn't rust, there are other problems associated with them. Not long ago I looked at a combo aluminum trailer. It had 5 nail strips. I can't believe the MAC doesn't have any nail strips. I have very rarely needed them on my trailer but it is good to know that if I did I would have something to nail to other than aluminum. I am sure you will like the aluminum trailer. For the most part I don't haul a lot of really heavy loads. I can scale about 44.5M-46M pounds with my step deck, depending on which tractor I have attached to it. You should be able to scale more with the aluminum trailer.
