Shut up, you suck!

I'm freaking starving out here but lost 10 so far.

I wonder if the chili is low carb? I've been thinking about canning it for the road.

I only chimed in and posted my numbers in the format that someone else started along with Rev, Geoman and Charged.

Ain;t no body like me...

That was not a stab at you.
It was a statement of fact.
I don't know you from no body, so it ain't personal.

As GMAN alluded to, you give a misleading picture of the cost to doing business.

The problem I have with that, is the fact that you have established a leadership position, in a business where you are still a rookie.

You have followers that believe that they can do what you do.
And, it doesn't matter that you have repeatedly posted that your personal expenses are low.
They still think that they can emulate your perceived success.

You are not the business man your followers believe you are.

Nothing personal.
Just business.

Just business, because of your leadership position, and those that think they can do what you do.

You contribute to low rates.
And, those that will try to follow your example, also contribute to low rates.

You may make a living at it, but when you look back, you will see a much smaller net worth, than when you started.

Your followers - well, they will die a slow death, and contribute to the demise of many others, in the process.

Sorry to tell you, numero dos, but you have likely just made yourself not worth talking to in the Hobby Trucker's eyes. I'm sure you'll cry yourself to sleep tonight.

Holy smokes.."2"...you're starting to sound like the oracle from "Matrix" :)

Steve doesn't owe it to anybody to post disclaimers on how he has funded his business....everybody approaches financing a truck from their own unique position and I've never once read where Steve stated that others should do it the way he did so I do not agree with what you said.

That said I think it is good and makes for lively reading to challenge Steve and others on what they post as it just might help them and us learn to a) not trust everything you read and b) perhaps add a new perspective on your own operation and thus perhaps learn something ....that's what makes this site so great!!

Oh well. 2 years and doing fine so what can I say?

BITE ME!!!

And to top it off, I think I've finally figured out a route and rate that will put me well over what I've been doing and give me the West runs I want.

I've come to some conclusions in the recent weeks and now have a plan that I know will work. I've been trying different things these past few years and realized recently that the data I needed has already been accumulated. I just needed to step back, run some numbers, a new spreadsheet and bingo. It's very simple and was there all along.

Anyway, I'm about 130 miles outside Chicago at a service plaza shut down for the day and will sneak through the city very early tomorrow. The unloading should take no time then off to some place to sit and find a load which should not be that hard then off on a LONG run.

It was great driving today and for some reason, nobody on the roads. Lots of cops but pulling over 4 wheelers. Fuel prices vary greatly depending which state your in. For a leased person it makes a difference but for someone with their own authority it's almost negligible with IFTA.
Buy cheap fuel in one state, you'll pay for it at the end of the quarter.

I'd love to hear your explanation of this one. :?

I took pics, I'll post them later. I changed a few things up with the recipe, I'll fill you in. I started the chili on the stove cooking the meat a bit then moved it to my charcoal grill to finish it off. I put a roast on the grill as well just because I can. 8) Roast will be nice and red on the inside, actually I just took the roast out to grill and waved it across the top a few times then ran it back in to the house, I hope I didn't over cook it.

I love this country. :D

You actually have to have your own business and not working for someone else like you do to understand. But if you like, download the IFTA worksheet and figure it out multiple ways on a test run of like 1,000 miles across country varying your fueling points with each try.

So now the burden is on you, I live it.
