Truckers Avoid Weigh Stations by "Dodging the Scales&qu

Hundreds of thousands of truckers are on Texas roads with you every day. One of the ways our state helps ensure your safety is by mandating stops at weigh stations.

KXAN Austin News has uncovered a legal loophole, allowing some drivers to skate through under the radar. In trucker lingo, it's called "dodging the scales."
KXAN Story Here

If you have a good connection, watch the video, too. There's a little video camera icon at the top of the article (toward the left).

It's funny- the written story refers to "drivers" and you watch the video and the "drivers" are standing next to their cars at the gas islands

Dodging the scales? What next are the going to spill the beans that we lie in our log books?

My guess is that there was no new murders, theft or other serious but newsworthy events , so they said "hey what the heck, lets find something to fill in this void ". .

They were complaining on the stations awhile back here. The call them something, bottle bombs, heck I can't remember. It isn't like Ohio cleans the sides of the roads anyway.
