Canadian Authority
 
ok i have got my own authority and have had it for about 3 months now.

i have looked into getting the authority to get into canada but i have come up empty handed. i am not very computer handy so maybe i ma doing something wrong or am looking into the the wrong places.

any one give me some info on how to get the authority to run canada would be appreciated.

I don't recall the web address but you can access it by doing a search for "motor carrier authority in Canada."

Just remember that DOT in Canada is called MTO (ministry of transportation) :) Call these guys - this is a branch of Ontario MTO that issues authorities for Ontario. They can help you find the right person or branch. I called them a while ago when I was looking into getting Ontario authority (I'm Canadian).

just get a hold of a company that I use called 730 permitservices.com...they do all the leg work for you to get what you need....1-519-537-8658

You need your cab card updated with all the Canadian Provinces you plan to visit. Just get all of them. It cost me $13.00 to add every one.

You need an SCAC code from the U.S.

You need a Canadian Carrier Code from Canada.

You need to make sure your insurance covers you in Canada.

You can't have a criminal record at all.

You need PAPS and PARS stickers.
