General Liability Insurance

How many of you all have General Liability Insurance? If so, has it been worth the cost to add it. I'm noticing that more & more broker/carrier contracts are asking for 1M General Liability.

The trend I have seen recently is requests for:
Proof of Workmans Comp.
General Liability anywhere from 250K to 1 Mil.
A copy of my current balance sheet showing net worth.
To date, I have never included this info with the setup package, and it hasn't stopped me from hauling any loads. Go figure!

I have only had one shipper who insisted on my having general liability insurance. It isn't really necessary for most loads. In this case, their rates were too cheap, anyway. I told them that their rates were not worth the extra expenditure.

My Auto liability costs $400 a month, my General liability is $8.53 a month
General liability is the cheapest part of most policies.

Sideman,

For $8.53 per month how much General Liability coverage is that for? Thanks everyone else for your input.

Oh, sorry. It's for 1 million.
