I didn't know it was a popularity contest :?

I have seen enough of Steve's numbers to know that they don't add up.

Rev's on the other hand are consistant with Lanstar freight numbers (I was there for 4 years).

I don't know how you guys have become such fanboys of Steve, but I could care less, like I have said before he does no one any good furnishing less than full numbers or misleading ones, better to just post experiences and leave it at that.I rather enjoyed his adventures when he was first starting out,but BS is BS and needs to be pointed out.

It ain't a popularity contest. it's a I'm better than you contest.

It seems to me that the drivers with their own authority think the are top dog because they have their own company and drivers that lease to a company are stupid.

Now the way i see it is the the thousands of drivers that are running one truck under their own authority and just using the broker boards and have no direct customers are just like another big company with many different names. Most are just making brokers rich. Most freight rates have not gone down, brokers are just taking advantage of the excess trucks and moving freight as cheap as they can get someone to take it. There is plenty of good paying freight out there, you just have to get it before 3 or 4 people take a cut of it.

The biggest change i have seen in trucking was not deregulation(I was there) but the INTERNET load boards which have allowed brokers access to more outlets for their freight and not having to give most of it to big companies that had more experience with freight lanes and rate structures.

Let the flames begin :) :) :) :)

by the way I fall into the stupid bunch.

Big companies should have their own shippers and not be using brokers.

Yes, I am surprised at the multitude of new folks that have created accounts recently so they can start the cheering and jeering.

I suppose it's easy for these folks (that do not own a truck) to criticize how people run their business.

Some people criticized Rev for not posting anything of value. When he does, everyone wants to focus on one stupid 200 mile move.

Will Steve start quoting Rev in his signature now? Either way, they're boh doing better than leasing to CRE!

CRE pays $1.50 per mile. Isn't that good ? Their ad says so in big huge numbers in the middle of the page 8) 8)

I put that quote in my sig just like Rev and Diesel did. I stopped posting because of all the crap and decided to do what they do and it's causing some waves. I tried to get the moderators to put a stop to this sort of thing but it fell on deaf ears. So, as the moderators say, take the bad with the good. I suggested a few options to them but they ignored them for no good reason at all. We have a bunch of moderators of which most haven't logged in for over a year. If we had the TruckZ moderator team all this would stop in a millisecond.

I'm heading home now after a real good 3 weeks. Will I post about my numbers? No. It doesn't do any good. Others come out to an average of $1.45 and gets a job well done. I've been doing well above that and I'm crap.

You haven't even come close to "doing what they do". All you are doing is flaming.

Do you hear that? It's the world's smallest violin, playing just for you.

I know I've never posted a "job well done" for someone averaging $1.45 per mile. But that doesn't change the fact that you did a week long trip into Canada for far less than you should have. At least my screw up only lasted a half a day.
