I'll tell you this. By the end of the night, everyone was 3 sheets to the wind and then they raced the next day!!! |
I bet that was a fun experience Steve, I never been to a NASCAR or NHRA race but I've been to alot of smaller local dirt track races.
|
Don't you guys know- Real race cars don't have fenders!
Gotta be Sprint Cars, like the great Jeff Gordon used to drive. Actually I think Tony Stewart still does Sprint or Midget races once in a while. NASCAR is like a super corporate WWF. |

When I get home I'll try and dig up some pictures of that night and maybe you guys can pick out some people. I did dance with some of their wives and my wife danced with some of the drivers when she wasn't singing. I just remembered one thing that happened that night. I was at the bar doing a shot and one of the drivers came up to me and said, I normally don't do this but that woman at the end of the bar thinks your cute and wants to get together with you. So, I turn to look and she's a bombshell. Then she smiles and has those Billy Bob teeth in. It was hilarious. She was that drivers wife. The race track in NH was just sold and the new owner has made a deal with Nascar to move more of the races up there. I guess they only have so many races per year? |
Usually 1 race a season.
|
Just one race only at each track?
I know NH has only had 1 race per year but it will be more from what I understand. |
Well Daytona has two, the 500 which is the superbowl of nascar (First race of the season) then the Pepsi 400 later on in the season. But my favorite races are Talledega, Atlanta, and Martinsville. Oh yeah can't forget Darlington, if they still go there I don't remember. I know they stopped going to Rockingham a couple years ago.

I moved back south the first year it opened...but spent a lot of nights watching the locals at Claremont Speedway while I lived there. Not much else to do on summer nights other than drink. And sometimes drink. And when all else failed we could always go drink. Except in winter. Then we would icefish on Lake Sunapee. And drink. My ex brother in laws wife STILL won't talk to me. |
There are the races they do twice each season
1. Bristol 2.Martinsville 3.Michigan 4.Phoenix 5.Dover 6.New Hampshire 7.Lowe's 8.Atlanta 9.Texas I didn't think they did these many races twice I forgot my other favorite is Pocono as well! |
