No, its specialized freight hauling tradeshows, medical equipmet, tours, ect. Like I said...specialized

I think I burnt out on HHG, plus the rates are gonna be screwed up very soon. Thats why my dad left United and is hauling exotic cars for FedEx.

SOOooooooooooooooo...Yer leasing into Upstaging....or the other outfit that does the same thing??

Don't ya gotta drive a red Pete to lease to them???

Whats with the yawns? Sorry it isn't 89cpm freight. Its a 250K gross/yer operation (to the truck).

No, its not upstaging. Its with a major van line who does strictly tradeshow, heavy medical equipment, etc. FedEx is still an option, but its on the backburner.

Sounds great Bandit. Good luck with the new gig. I find it good to change things up every couple of years. I tend to get in a rut and get bored.

Was it hard to sign on for the new gig? I have always had an interest in tradeshows but don't know the first thing about getting set up to run with them. I think I might just like the idea of a 180" sleeper and a Drop frame van without doing HHG.

The company I'm leasing to won't lease on a big bunk. They have weight restrictions because they run heave, heavy, HEAVY medical equipment like Xray machines.

I had to call them and be persisten, as they don't recruit. They run about 28 trucks. I'm gonna leave HHG for the Rv. Its only fair since Teal left it up to me. 8)

So more like a power only gig? Or the better question is what are you gonna be pulling?

BanditsCousin 12-08-2007 04:40 PM

No, I'll keep an assigned 53' trailer with liftgate. Its tradeshows/convention centers, store fixtures for opening malls, medical equipment that requires special handling.

Oh, and I'll have a reefer unit on my van because some of the medical equipment needs tempeature sensitive transit.

Good luck BC. :D
