Carfax for trucks?

Does anyone know if they have a detailed info sheet like this for truck's history or do you have to rely on maintainance records?

If you find a truck that your going to get it probably wouldnt be a bad idea to find a local maintience shop and have them check the ECM for any error codes to get an idea on how the truck may have been driven. The truck I currently have had some major codes on it...IE-low oil pressure...overspeeds...excessive rpm's. After I had to have my motor rebuilt I saw all the error codes. Costly error on my part.

Thanks Dteam270! Once we find "the one" we are going to get it checked out!! I am trying to get all the info before we do anything....dont want any surprises.

Getting the truck checked out may cost you a few hundred dollars but it can potentially save you several thousand down the road.

In addition to having the ECM record pulled and have a mechanic give it the once over it is also a good idea for it to be put on the dyno.
