Gman you are right about the dumps. There is a lot of those end dumps and belly dumps here in east texas as well as logging trucks and trucks that haul huge cut timbers I think for drilling or pipeline work. also lately there has been a lot of pipe being hauled. When you checked on that load board did it post rates??? if so what were some of them running??? thanks for all the info.

Sodbuster, a mesh tarp is extremely light weight. A lumber tarp isn't. A mesh tarp can easily be handled. A lumber tarp should be folded a certain way to make it easier to work with as you unfold it. I would not think the spool would work well for the lumber tarp. I would also not be concerned about a tarp being out in the weather all the time. That is the main reason we use them. Besides, there is not that much of the tarp which is exposed to the elements when they are rolled up.

Most loads posted on these load boards do not publish the rates. You need to call them if you are interested in their loads.
