Cruise control

When did cruise control become a standard option and would it have shown up maybe in an '82 Pete? Any old timers out there know the answer.

Thanks in advance.

Cruise control has been around for a lot of years, for cars. I dont know when they started for trucks. I remember the older Petes had throttle cables, but I dont remember any around that year model that had cruise control. You might hang around, and GMAN, or Yoopr could probably tell ya.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking at an older Pete on ebay and my limited experience is with newer internationals. Hard to tell if an older truck is worth the effort, I guess it depends on who is doing the work, you or the dealer.

Yeah, and it depends on who had the truck, and how much TLC that truck has. 8)
