The book every o/o should own
http://www.motor.com/Repair_Manuals/HTRM.htm
This is the real deal you will spot this book in every repair shop you may be able to get it on ebay but usually some guy comes to your house with it. Its around 150.00 |
interesting book, do you own a copy? if so where did you buy it? and I am assuming it covers all trucks mentioned in the table of contents 1999 through 2004 is this correct?
thanks for the link |
actually I own 1/3 of one but you have to call the number on the website and an independant dealer (who has a garage full I guess) delivers the book to your house but look on ebay espcially if you have an older truck
But it must say "motor" not "chiltons" in depth coverage on rears, trans, steering boxes etc., suspensions etc |
What's Chilton's? Is that another manual maker that's no good? Just curious.
Thanks for this link. |
Chiltons is the auto repair manual that you find in any regular auto parts store. It's the book you got when you were a teenager pulling the motor out in the front yard, trying to fix it. That's the book I used when I was young and first learning how to take my car down to pieces.
To answer your question, I think they were decent for car repair. But I don't know if they have heavy truck repair manuals. |
After I posted that I remembered who Chiltons was/is.
But, then, I was never a teenager who took the motor out in the front yard and tried to fix it, either! |
