Owners of tractor & trailer, avg. income?

just like to get some feedback on owners of tractor + trailer yearly income. I've spoke to someone that quoted a net income of $175,000. They guy owned a tractor w/ a dry van trailer.

Is that yearly income possible owning the combination?

I'll go first on record saying I only made about 50k net last year. I also only worked about half the year.

I'm betting that "someone" you talked with confused net income with gross income.

I will agree that is most likely gross, not net. I will gross about $125,000.
But my net will be about $60,000.

I'm going to have to agree with this guy!

Also, to add, I do not own the trailer. Only the truck.

I own my own truck, and only worked about 1/2 the year last year. (7 months)..I missed almost all of the peak season, but when I did work, I ran pretty hard. I still had a NET of $72k.

So, is that's the average o/o income? :P

Duh, I figured everyone would have known about all the money bags truckers out there! :lol:

Depends on what you actualy do in the trucking buisiness, more specialized you go more money you will make...
