All kidding aside, I know how you felt. I grew up in Iowa and went through a few nights like that.

By the way, I've been following this thread for some time and have enjoyed hearing about your experiences. Keep it up. I especially liked the living on a boat part. The wife and I have considered doing the same thing, in a 50 footer though. All I have to do is check into the log hauling business down here in Wilmington. Luckily we already have the house on the water.

He'll get bored traveling the same roads over and over again and being covered with sap all the time. Then to top it off, I'll start showing up, staying longer and longer and the only way to rid yourself of me will be to go OTR.

I am looking every week in the trader to find a good used flatbed to maybe entice him with. He still has his tarps and all....maybe that is a good sign??

Tootie, I live here in eastern NC also. I live in Hampstead now, its a little north of Wilmington. Lived in Tyner just outside of Edenton for years. Log hauling is going to dog your husbands equipment fast. Try pulling lumber out of one of the mills. There is a lot of loads leaving the mills daily. Just a thought. Oh, welcome to carolina. And get ready for August, Hotter then HELL and HUMID.
