Yeah, becuase jail is such a great place to hang out for the next 6 years

Scoe 01-17-2007 02:13 AM

That was the scene from Portland this morning. I believe that was filmed around SW 20th and Salmon street just West of downtown. While Portland only received about 3 inches officially, the whole city is built on hills and this snow had about an inch of ice layer beneath it.

I don't see any comparison between Steve Booth's adventures and fighting his way through an ice storm out on the interstate and this video of urban 4 wheelers who don't have a clue and are not held to the standard as professional drivers.

Not sure where you are from, Kintama, but down here where I live, no jury in this county would convict someone for beating that fool senseless; that would be if the cops didn't get to him first.

I'm not some "Sh*t Kickin' Red Neck Texan"; quite to the contrary, I'm more like an aging hippie. None the less, this is an EXTREMELEY conservative area. No joke here, people don't put up with that kind of crap down here!!

In all seriousness, Texas law allows the use of deadly force in protecting yourself, or someone else, when life or property are in danger.

UPDATE:

In today's Oregonian newspaper they had a story all about Mr. Volvo's wild ride. It turns out this driver is 79 years old and an executive at the Pendleton woolen mills. They actually gave his name in the article, which I find astonishing as I would want to remain anonymous if I were that driver. The odd thing is that if you watch the video closely, I believe that after he hits the pole he actually gets on the accelerator which then propels him into the brick structure and then the long slide down the hill to the pile of cars awaiting his arrival. Had he not accelerated he probably would have not hit the brick structure or the row of cars down the hill.

Budweiser salutes you Mr. pinball with cars driver.
Real Men of Genius.

I can't get over that after seeing people slide SIDEWAYS, that others would then try to drive on that. Great video though.

Kintama 01-20-2007 05:39 PM

He probably tryed to jam the brakes, and hit the gas instead. He could have said f it after he hit the car and pole, but his family owns Pendleton Woolin Mills, and I doubt he's hurting for cash.

What really gets me is the lack of knowledge regarding winter conditions. When sliding on ice, you NEVER jam on the brakes!

Dude's 79 years old, and you never think straight when you're panicking.

Yeah...that is some real balls for 79 year old. I know many half his age that wouldnt have attemted it. Lol... Atleast he is famous now! I think I saw that footage on a dozen or so stations!

I agree! But, if you're gonna jam on something it should be the brakes instead if the accelaerator lol

The fact dude is 79 years old has nothing to do with it. The fact that he is a PERSON who lacks the ability to safely operate a vehicle is scary. If my wife was walking my kids to school and this jag-*** ran them down because he failed to (attempt to stop the vehicle after the first collision is plain negligent and scary
