Insurance & leasing on criteria
 

Are the background requirements as stringent if you own your own truck as if you are a Co. driver? Which is harder, getting insurance with something on your record or leasing on with a Co.?
Has anyone got any experience with this problem?

It should not make any difference. If you qualify as a driver, you can likely do the same as an owner operator. Many carriers have insurance available you can purchase if you cannot qualify otherwise.
