trying to find a semi to take over payments

anyone know of anyone selling a semi, where I can take over payments on? Don't want to lease, however I don't have $20,000 to put down on a truck nor do I have the best credit... anyway thought I would ask . I live in salt lake city ut and really have no idea where to look. I looked at truckpaper.com but they dont have anyone seeking to have payments taken over. thanks for all your help.

Maybe talk to some truck credit companies? The credit thing may hurt you tho.

I would think to do a transfer like that you would need a credit check with income verification. If you can't do it the "regular" way I doubt you could do it this way.

I never did the "take over payments" bit on a truck but I have done it on a car a couple of times and both times I underwent a credit check and had to meet the requirements of the loan.

You have to read the contract carefully on some of these companies. Often the loans/leases are set up where you pay all interest first then principle.

The end result is a year from now you still owe almost the same.

i`ve let guys pay off a few of the trucks i`ve rebuilt but you`d need cash down, down payment is what it cost me to fix and purchase it so if you flake out I don`t lose any money, besides that its 0% percent interest.

oh I wasn`t plugging my little side business, just noting that theres people out there who do that.

I'm wondering - what money do you expect to operate on, if you can't even afford the down payment on a truck? Operating a trucking business isn't cheap - even more so with a used truck. It doesn't take a huge breakdown to empty your bank account if you don't have the finances in place to cover it.
