What Fluids To Change Out?

I bought a 1985 FTL with a 350 BCC Oct of this year. So far I have changed the oil in the engine, water flushed and new antifreeze put in with water treatment.

I changed the hub seals on the Trailer and put new oil in them, had 2 wheel seals replaced on my tractor. New Brakes put all around on Tractor and Trailer. New drive and steer tires put on. 1 new leaf spring on truck, 1 injector replaced, fuel filter, air filter, overhead run on truck of which everything checked out fine.

All of the hoses have been recently replaced on the Truck and are in good shape.

The reason I have listed all of the above is I am looking for advice on items to check, or maybe check in the very near future.

Would you get the fluids changed out in the Transmission and Axles, or wait until summer to do this?

Is there something major that I should have checked out since buying this truck?

I know it is an older Truck and I haul logs for a living, but I want it to last me for a few years.

Any advice you may give me is greatly appreciated.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to change the gear boxes. I'm having a rear-end rebuilt right now and the lube was very black and dirty, it had 3,000,000 on last change I learned today. I think they recommend every
250,000. good luck!

once a year on the rears and tranny, synthetic is the way to go IMO, albeit if you pick the right synthetic anyways.
